i speak english but for business reasons right now i am in china, i bought a new pc and a new windows 7 here, i tried to download firefox and install it on my pc and guess what?! it all in english just right up to the time it runs for the first time!!! i wanna know who gives you permission to choose a user's language without consulting him? now i have a crappy browser with some weird language and characters which i have no ideas about how to change it!
i just wanted my browser to be in english! how to do such a thing? (and no i dont want a language pack or anything extra and pal i cant find tools or language section in this freaky browser now!) and i wanna know why do you decide a user's language just based on IP or etc. without consulting him?
i am so pissed off im gonna change to Chrome after so many years of being a firefox fan!

So, what's the problem? If Firefox installed in English, why are you mad?
The Firefox website uses your computer's IP address to determine your location. When you download, it automatically uses the language of that area.
You can't change Firefox's language. Instead, you have to install the browser for your language. Here's a list of all the supported OSes and languages: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
" i tried to download firefox and install it on my pc and guess what?! it all in english JUST RIGHT UP TO the time it runs for the first time!!!" the problem is the installation procedure all happened in english but the browser runs on chinese!
Not sure how you got the specific download you got but, at this point, please try a Clean Reinstall:
(1) Download the English installer of your choice from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ to a convenient location. (Scroll down to your preferred language/locale.)
(2) Exit out of Firefox.
(3) Rename the folder (64-bit Windows folder names)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
to
C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
(4) Run the installer you downloaded in #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
Success? Note that if you use Google as your home page, it may redirect. Try https://www.google.com/ncr to bypass that and set a cookie indicating you want to use the .com site and not a local site.
swimmingbird, is the Firefox browser menus and such in English but the web page in another language?
