When trying to import a database (.sql) in phpmyadmin using firefox nothing happens and eventually I get the message:

Request Timeout

Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client. Apache/2.4.10 (Win32) OpenSSL/1.0.1i PHP/5.6.3 Server at localhost Port 80

When using Chrome it works perfect.

The timeout response can be changed in the about:config entries. I do not know how large the dump you are uploading is: http.response.timeout is the entry.

It is not a large database. Using Chrome it is done in a few seconds.

What is the content encoding of the dump?

it is a .sql file created by Phpmyadmin.
