Why has Mozilla thunderbird suddenly demanded a password that i do not have? Effectively locking me out of the email account i have attached to my webpage?
My Mozilla thunderbird email is refusing me access without a password. It has never done this before, and I have no idea what the password is. I have never been asked to provide one before to obtain access to my email account.

All email accounts have a password. If you told Thunderbird to remember it then it is stored at:
Tools-options-security-passwords-saved passwords.
Email passwords are administered with your email provider. You have to work with them to reset a problem password.
Go to your providers web mail page and make sure you can use your username and password to log in there. If they work there then something else is causing the problem.
It could be incorrect server settings or your antivirus software getting in the way. It could be your provider has a bad server in their servers vers network.
