I am running Mac Pro on above OS X. Today I updated to Thunderbird to 38.5.1 but I get a blank box when displaying 'About Thunderbird'. I have removed and reinstalled but still get the same thing. A colleague running the same hardware has upgraded successfully. Is this a bug in the new version? Screen shot attached and can send diag report prior to upgrade if required. thanks RedBob

Mac sometimes has install/update issues. Did you try reinstalling from https://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird/ ?

Thanks Wayne, yes I did and still no joy. If i open Tbird and leave the control / top bar on my mac screen, then repeating 'About Tbird' will display the correct expected info on the Mac screen. When I open Tbird on a seperate screen and repeat the 'About Tbird' then the blank panel will still appear on my Mac screen.
