thunderbird shows my accounts as locked, at least there's a lock image next to my mail accounts. No mail folders populate, nor the local folder. Keep in mind, that thunderbird isn't locked, My master password is accepted. Under get messages one will see my email accounts, and to the right of them a lock symbol. Again, the mail folders do not drop down/ populate. Please help if you can. I also uninstalled and reinstalled, but that didn't help.

They aren't locked. The padlock indicates a secure connection to the server. This is what you want.

You're wasting your time. The problem does appear to be in the Thunderbird profile. Re-installing the application doesn't touch the profile.

I'm not sure what exactly your problem is though. Please explain in detail
