Occasionally type in a URL that I want to go to and it is automaticly changed to somewhere I don't want. Example can be from the UK trying to use Google.co.uk most of the time but occasionally needing Google.com - get changed back to the .co.uk site. This happens with a variety of sites, sometimes can get it to do what is wanted, other times need to use a different browser.

Would like an add on or some other way that prevented any change in the typed in URL.

Some sites automatically redirect you to a site in the local language, based on where your IP locates you. There may not be much that you can do about this unless the website offers a link to an international version or to a version in your preferred language.

Such a choice is stored in a cookie, so you need an allow exception to keep such a cookie. There is usually a link on such websites choose a language or go to an international version that allows to choose the language.
