Hi Everybody,

I have a few blogs that I run and each blog has its own email address.

E.g. hello@mydomain1.com ; hello@mydomain2.com ; hello@mydomain3.com etc...

Sometimes I receive the same spam in all three separate email inboxes. I create a set of filter rules for the first inbox and can run the filter successfully. Rather than repeat the creation of the same filter rule against the other 2 email accounts (inboxes), is there a way that I can apply or copy and paste this same filter rule to all three email accounts?

Kind regards, Henry

re :Sometimes I receive the same spam in all three separate email inboxes.

Message Filters are really designed to move etc good emails.

Thunderbirds Junk Controls are designed to deal with junk/spam.

Junk/spammers will constantly adjust email addresses and subject etc, so trying to keep up with them is unrealistic, this is why Thunderbird has a 'Junk Controls' system which you need to set up and train.

Virtually all of my junk now goes direct to Junk.

So advise you first check out your Junk Control settings for each account. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls

Regarding copying filters to other accounts: In the profile folders, each mail account will have it's Message Filters. It is possible to copy paste the 'msgFilterRules.dat' file between each mail account. Make sure Thunderbird is closed when you do this.
