Hello,

I created an account yesterday using 22alec22@xgmail.com. Later I realized I would want two separate accounts for my work devices and my personal devices. I added alec.gall@#rap-city.com as my secondary then set it as my primary. Then I removed 22alec22@xmail.com from that account entirely.

Now I'm trying to create a new account using 22alec22@xmail.com again, but it keeps giving me an error that says "Prmary account email required to sign-in" when I click create account. Any help is highly appreciated!

Regards, Alec G.

The email address that was used when the Firefox Account / Sync account was originally created is the account name or "username" and that doesn't change when a secondary email address is added; and then the former primary account email address is hidden / removed or the email account is no longer accessible by the user.

To be able to "re-use" an email address for another Firefox Account the original Firefox Account would need to be deleted.

Sorry, you need unique email addresses for each Firefox Account that you set up. The email address is the primary identifier for the Firefox Account; the secondary email address can be made the "primary email address", but that doesn't "free-up" the primary email address for the creation of another Firefox Account - that "primary email address" is still the primary identifier for the Firefox Account even if the user stops using it to log in to Sync.

Even if I've removed that other email address from the first account? It shouldn't be part of the account at all anymore.

Alrighty. I guess I'll just have to delete and recreate the account. Thank you for your help!
