Why does Quantum remove the Bookmarks sidebar button?
I've been using an old version of firefox for a while, 30 something. It's starting to not work right, I have firefox portable installed for websites that don't work on the much older versions.
But I must say, it seems Firefox keeps getting less and less convenient. In my old version I can just click a button on the left and boom, there's all my bookmarks in a sidebar.
Now I need to click the button and then click open sidebar? Why? Why can't there just be a Bookmarks sidebar option? Is there a reason Quantum removed that?

So many people, and so many different wishes - hard, if not impossible, to please everyone .....
You can bring up the bookmarks sidebar not only by clicking View => Sidebar, but (even faster) by pressing Ctrl + b.
Will that work for you ?
There is a Sidebars button available in the Customize palette that you can drag on a toolbar to toggle the sidebar on/off with the last used sidebar content.
In Quantum the 3 sidebars were combined into a Show sidebars button which has sub-menus at the top of the sidebar for Bookmarks, History, & Synced Tabs. By default that Show sidebars button should be on the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar to the left of the Open menu button. That arrangement places 3 buttons that have similar actions all in a row.
