This question was last asked 4 months ago and there were no satisfactory answers. Nor is this answer satisfactory, but it seems to work: 1) Save the draft email in your draft folder 2) Copy the draft email to your desktop (click and hold, release mouse button over the desktop) 3) Edit the desktop email with a text editor (I use Notepad++)

The clever forum editor has removed my literal references to the HTML table syntax. Step 4 should read "Delete the HTML text defining the empty table"

Select the table by clicking somewhere in it.

In the Write window's menu, go to Format|Table and select Delete|Table.
