How do I change the default printer in Thunderbird please?

Recently replaced broken Canon MP480 printer with a later model Canon MG5660 printer. Although the XP OS now sees it as the new default printer, Thunderbird does not. I click print and it goes to the MP480 unless I pay attention and change the printer selected each time. Invariably I wait for the print whist the print dialogue waits for me and I waste time. It must be simple but I can't find the option to change the default printer. Frustrating! Can someone please help.

Chosen solution

use the config editor to change the rest the hidden preference printer.print to default.

Yep! Sure enough. I simply changed the print.printer value to "default" and bang. The default printer now appears in the print dialogue box. All fixed. Thanks heaps. Phiptoe
