Every time I copy text from a website in Firefox, when I paste it there are a bunch of extra spaces inserted into the text. This doesn't happen with other browsers. I switched to Firefox because Safari is such a memory drain but I'm going to have to switch back if I can't figure out why this keeps happening.

It could be the extra spacing was in the text. Or the blanks are special characters.

The extra spacing is definitely not in the text, as I can copy and paste the exact same text using a different browser and the spaces aren't there. I'll explore those add-ons, thanks. Frustrating that it takes an add-on to get the browser to do something so simple.

It is possible that the extra spaces are new line characters that are converted to spaces or that you span multiple tags. You can check this via the right-click context menu in "View Selection Source".
