When I deleted a large batch of old emails from a local folder, the page that showed up was the inbox without any view and other buttons. When I close and restart, I see for an instant the start page and then only the inbox. How do I get back to the start page showing the local folders and contorl buttons? Do not know enough to understand the help message solutions.

Chosen solution

Solved problem by accident, it was about unknowingly pressing a sequence of hot keys when I placed a tablet on part of my keyboard. Second time I did it, by accident, again, I saw pages scrolling and determined that it was the combination of key pressed by the tablet when I pressed down to write a telephone number.

how do I post the screen shot to this page? Need more help, not very literate on details.

The inbox tab does not have a "X" to close it to return to start page of email. When logging in, there is a flash of the start page but then shows the inbox with no means of navigating away form that page and showing the local folders.

how do I post the screen shot to this page?

Save the screenshot as an image file.
Underneath the text box where you type your reply is a 'Browse' button where you can add the screenshot image file.

All I have is an inbox with no symbol to close the inbox to get access to my local folders page on Thunderbird. Is there a ay to walk me though any solution that I did not understand from what I read in the help material. Each did not seem to address the problem I am facing. Each solution assume that there is a view choice which I do not see, no tab except for inbox tab. I was trying to delete old messages from two computers ago that I had backed up on this computer which now very slow and a friend advise me to reduce the size of the inbox that had close to 6000 messages and the Thunderbird files of message is sizeable. I do not do very well with the printed material that is difficult for me to transform to what I need. Problem unresolved. Please advise.
