I'm having an issue every few months, where I usually keep Firefox open with 10 or so tabs as pinned and sometimes I open a new window for something else on another monitor. When closing the PC, I generally close on my main monitor and forget about the new window, so I lost all tabs. Because I use Open previous windows and tabs. How can I recover the window with my tabs without having to always go into sessionstore-backups folder and restore manually with the scrounger from the recovery file?

Thanks, Eduard

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox Title bar, especially if you have multiple windows open to prevent losing tabs in unnoticed windows.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

No the last browser window is what it saves. You can use the history to find them and tab them back. But you always have to close the pin tab Browser last if you want to restore the sessions again.

But why the last one only? Why not all of them? Seems silly.

That's how it works AFAIK there no in-betweens and why open so many Browser use one to keep them in one place.

Because there could be cases of using multiple monitors, to move data, etc.. As long as the files are available in the recovery file, why not have an option to restore that ?
