I was wandering if Firefox Desktop will support Web Share API. You can see it's supported from all major browsers and on Firefox Mobile too

Do you plan to include the support in the near or far future?

Thanks for the great job!

Chosen solution

Currently WebShare is implemented and enabled on nightly and early beta on Windows, and behind a flag on release.

My guess is that OS support on Mac and Linux is weak and is blocking us. The priority of this API is low and I wouldn't expect it in the near future.

Thank you for your answer!

I'll check out the nightly build and keep fingers crossed for this technology to be adopted widely and make it a standard for all browsers and platforms.
