import internet explorer favorites folder into firefox 3.6

I am running Firefox 3.6.13. I have a folder of loads of Favorites from Internet Explorer which is from a few years ago.

I would like to import those favorites into my firefox bookmarks, but if it try using the import feature, it asks for files.

I tried what you have suggested before I placed this question. Unfortunately, this doesn't work because my favorites are not in my Internet Explorer, but are in a folder into which a imported IE favorites a year or two ago.

You will have to import those favorites in IE and then export them in IE to an HTML file. Then you can import that file in Firefox.
