When I download a large file (e.g., video, app) with Firefox 4, the download moves along fine and, when it's almost complete, the download stops and says the source can no longer be found.

I never had this problem with Firefox 3. Sadly, I now have to use IE when I want to download a file. I don't use IE for anything else and I'd prefer to download files from within Firefox again.

Try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
