A "history" panel has opened up on the right side of the browser, and I cannot determine how to close it. I have attempted the common fixes.

Sorry, on the left side of the browser there is a panel which I cannot seem to close or remove. It is titled "history" and it includes a search box and a list of visited sites. None of the typical fixes have been able to close the box.

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden. Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.
