Firefox not starting regardless of fixes. The same with Thunderbird. I lost use of both programs on the same day. With Firefox I have removed the program and downloaded new and installed, No change. I have used Task Manager, no Firefox running. There was the first time. I stopped the process, No change. I used a different uninstaller and tried again, No change. Still will not start.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I checked the firewall. Thre are no Mozilla products showing under exceptions. When I try to reinstall and I click on the last box okay I wee it installing and the icon will aappear. Firewall does not ask anything but I am unable to start the program by clicking on the icon or from programs. It also does not show up in processes. Owen
