I just updated Firefox as recommended. Now the tabs will not open, the scroll bar doesn't work. And .... I cannot open or close websites on the bar.

I deleted then downloaded FF7, same problem, I also tried reinstalling FF6, didn't help. I cannot do what you asked, too much trouble. I have been using FF for at least 10 years, I am pissed. I will now use Google Chrome. I hate IE.

Opening the Firefox SafeMode is as simple as holding the Shift key while you double-click the Firefox desktop shortcut.

Why ask for support if you're not going to follow the support advice that is offered?

Re-installing Firefox rarely fixes problems like you are having, which are normally caused by add-ons or improperly set preferences.
