I created the bookmarks sidebar with ctrl/B and after using it a while, I clicked the "x" to clear the sidebar and nothing happens. Why?
I don't recall any more information, but I would like to be able to delete the bookmark sidebar.

{Ctrl + B} opens and closes the Bookmarks Sidebar.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Running Firefox in Safe Mode enables the removal of the bookmark sidebar, but doesn't show me what's wrong.
Ctrl/B works in Safe Mode. I haven't been able to try it otherwise yet. I'm in the middle something and don't want to shut down Firefox and restart it.
Thanks. I didn't know that. I'm a keyboard oriented user rather than a mouser. Is there a reference somewhere of the supported control keys?
Thanks Cor-el. That's very useful for me.
