When I try to print from a web page (email printing is fine), it doesn't "prepare" and printer error box comes up with "unknown error occurred while printing".
Then documents library box comes up showing file name *.xps. Help!

Thank you both for your responses.
It turns out I uninstalled my printer, then reinstalled it, and also unplugged my USB cable to the printer for a short time. Now I'm good to go!!

You have selected your default printer as the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. To solve this, go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer of choice, and select 'Set as default printer'.
Thanks for replying, but it's already set as my default printer. Any other suggestions?
Try to reset the print prefs on the about:config page.
