When I used to open a new tab I used to get my most frequent websites come up on the new screen. Now when I do it I get a search engine page (similer to google) come up. I would much rather the list of my most used websites. Thank you.

You can reset some preferences including the browser.newtab.url to the default with the SearchReset extension:

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
