Unable to download statements from my internet banking site, I use OS X 10.8.3 and could always read them before today

I log into the internet banking website and click on the account I wish to see the statement for. The site takes me to another page to view the statement but there is nothing there to view. I got an error message the first time I logged into the site to get the statement, but this has now gone and I do not get the error message again, even when I have logged out and back in again. I downloaded the latest version of Adobe reader, and still no luck. I have been able to get these statements with no problems prior to today, 26th March 2013. I have not changed any other settings in Firefox or elsewhere, and I do not know where to go from here. I can view the statements on another computer. I have an iMac desktop running OS X 10.8.3

Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have.

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options > Applications".

You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the about:config page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
