Hi Phillipp,

I was able to work on the computer yesterday and got it working.

This is how: I deleted the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox” directory (without doing an uninstall) and then reinstalled the same version.

Sorry, I forgot to send you an email saying that I got it working.

Thanks for your help.

Bob

The problem is JavaScript.

What do you mean, Can't open Firefox in Safe mode? What happens?

When I try to open Firefox in safe mode, I only get the Mozilla Crash Reporter.

I will update Java on the problem machine. This is one of our sales agents, so I have to wait until they are back in the office to work on it. I'll let you know.

Java has nothing to do with Java Script.

Additional Crash Report ID's might be helpful in attempting to determine the cause of the crashes on that device. That specific report was incomplete, the Raw Dump didn't pick up installed add-ons.

hello rtanner10, can you test if the crash continues when you update & install firefox 32 beta from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta? thank you

thanks for reporting back bob & glad that you could solve the issue that way. do you happen to have that deleted firefox program folder still in your trash? maybe it does hold some clues as to what happened here (malware, file corruption, etc), that could help other affected users.

I'll have to check when my user is back in the office. I'll let you know what I find.
