Folder ?type? changed while I was attempting to modify address - how can I change it back?
As a newbie to Thunderbird, I have been trying to set up originator addresses. (Problem expertly solved by Zenos, for which, many thanks). During my (misdirected) efforts, I somehow managed to change a folder from a 'normal' folder, indicated be the 'folder' icon into a different type signified by a ?postage stamp? icon (the same as the 'Sent' folder). I cannot find what the difference between the two types is or how to change it back.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
John.

Have a look in Tools menu (aslt+T) > account settings > copies and folders. I am guessing you have set this "other folder" as the sent folder for the account.
Hi Matt,
in Tools > Account Settings > Copies and folders is 'Copy in 'Sent' folder in main account' and also 'place replies in the folder of the message being replied to'.
What I should like to do is get the folder in question back as just an ordinary folder like the rest, rather than the 'postage stamp' type one.

John. You can force the issue but I am a little reluctant as the real reason the icon is there is because some account is set to use that folder for sent mail.
However this add-on allows you to edit the flags for the folders. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/folderflags/
Hi Matt. Not sure that I want to force the issue but would like to resolve it. Attached are (sanitized) screen shots of (what I hope are) the relevant pages.
Does that help?
Cheers.

Looking at that it might just be some artifact. Use the add-on and immediately restart Thunderbird. If it is not an artifact the folder should reset on the restart.
Thanks, Matt.
Haven't tried that yet but had a look at my setup and I think it might be something to do with 'Identities' that I have set up. I noticed that they are not working as I thought they should.
I need to look a little deeper.
Will try to do so this next week.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers.
