I'm unable to paste text/links anywhere in FF. (The only thing I can do is control + Z)

Try to uninstall (trash) and reinstall Firefox.
Download the full version and trash the currently installed Firefox application to do a clean reinstall.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the Disk Image file to the desktop
- Firefox 54.0: *https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
- trash the currently installed Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean reinstall
- install the new version that you have downloaded
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac
Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you uninstall and reinstall or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens when you try?
absolutely nothing happens! I can get the drop down menu for copy/paste nothing happens (after I highlight what I'm wanting to copy obviously) copy & paste...

Go to that message, and use the Undo link to its right.
You highlight what you want, right-click selecting Copy. Does the menu close, or stay open?

Is this on all websites, some, a few?
Note that some websites disable the right-click.
Please provide public (no password) link(s) that we can check out. No Personal Information Please !
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
