Is it possible to merge imported contacts in the standard address books, or move them into it?
Hello, I've installed Mozilla Thunderbird (us) on SuSE Linux Leap 42.3 and imported some addressbooks via *.csv files, which were exported from Mozilla Thunderbird 52.5.0 (x86, nl) on Windows 10. So from dutch language to english. This did not work at first, because it was rejected as can not import empty file (??). So I edited the record fields from dutch names to english names and saved the document under a new csv file. This time the import finished ok.
The only thing is the standard addres book is called : "Personal address book". My dutch file was called "Persoonlijk adresboek", so the imported address book was created with the same name. However I was not able to drag and drop my contacts to the standard "Personal address book", so I can delete the import address book afterwards. And the standard address book is not allowed to be deleted (makes sense). Is it possible to merge the contacts with the standard address books (the other is called "Collected addresses" or something, and that is in dutch "Verzamelde adressen")..?
I hope the question is clear for now.

Drag-and-drop is the usual mechanism for moving Contacts between address books.
Do you have any add-ons that might be interfering? The very useful MoreFunctionsForAddressBook add-on has been known to cause problems like this.
IIRC, it's a bit fussy about the encoding. If you work with the CSV file in a spreadsheet, take care to save it using UTF-8 and not the default Windows Latin encoding.
