When I try to add search engines on the search bar via the Manage Search Engines... option it takes me to: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search-tools/ which is just a list of 5 search addons that have nothing to do with adding search engines to the search bar.

My main problem is the default google that is provided: http://www.google.com/firefox I want google.com not google.com/firefox

The link to the mycroft site in the post by pelagos restricts the search engines to the UK.

The main entry to the search engine site is: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/

To qualify what you might be seeking, use this link: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html
