Why do I keep having unresponsive script problems that won't allow me to even load Firefox and get on the internet?

Every time I try to load Firefox it takes forever and I eventually get an error message for unresponsive script. I can either continue or cancel, so I cancel. Nothing happens and Firefox never loads, even if I click its icon again. This only started happening after I installed Comodo virus protection, C-Cleaner virus protection and Malware Bytes virus protection. None are active on my computer when this happens. Should I uninstall them?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
