Installed CC Cleaner. It screwed up my Firefox. I removed CC Cleaner but Firefox is still screwed. Can't do hotmail or gmail in Firefox

I installed CC Cleaner and ran cleaner and registry.

Now I can't use firefox on a variety of sites. They may load, but they don't function properly. I allowed all javascripts, but still I can see my landing page (e.g. can log into hotmail) but can't go further (e.g., can't get into inbox)

I unistalled CC Cleaner, but the problems remain.

What settings must I change to get back? System restore does not apply, and I can read my emails in IE (which I despise doing), so how do I reset or correct my Firefox settings? I've tried, but not been successful. Thanks!!

Thank you, "the-edmeister". This solution did work. Unfortunately, it requires that I move all bookmarks, reinstall no-script and other add-ons, etc.

Is there a menu option or process similar to 'system restore' by which I could go back to yesterday's firefox settings?

Thanks again. I now have a working solution!!

I'm glad it was that easy to solve. Those "cleaner" programs can be pretty destructive.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
