How do I re-arrange the tiles on the new tab page (Firefox Quantum)?

I would like to order the tiles on the new tab page according to my own preference. At a minimum, I would like my pinned tiles to be positioned ahead of any unpinned tiles (in right to left, top to bottom order).

It will take a little work ....... First disable the new design of the new tab page :

Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar and look for the preference :

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enabled

And set its value to false

Then close and restart Firefox, in order for the change to take effect.

Now you can rearrange your tiles the way you want them, and when you're done, go back to the 'about:config' page and set the value of that preference back to true (and don't forget to close and restart Firefox).
