i have an email, and in the TO: field, there are about 20 addresses. I want to open the ADDRESS BOOK, and ADD ALL these addresses to a new address list.

other than 1. save addrss 2. go to address book 3. add addrss to list and repeat and repeat and repeat

, i can't figure it out

and, if i 1. save address and repeat and repeat and repeat

and THEN go to teh address book, the problem is knowing WHO was in that original email

thanks

help, any reply, ideas, solutions, things to test, or can't be done, or whatever? thanks

There is an add-on, MoreFunctionsForAddressBook, that does this in one step, but it doesn't work in TB 78. I'm not aware of any way to do it in 78, but the closest method copies addresses from a selection of messages to the clipboard.

thanks for reply. but, i'm confused, what good would that do, getting them into a clipboard? thanks

If the addresses are in the clipboard, pasting into a text file or spreadsheet allows for them to be formatted as a csv file, which can then be imported to TB. Not the best solution, but as I said, the only one now for 78.

i saw that there was an import/export function, maybe i can experiemtn wth that, even if copying singly, to a text file, and make it as a CSV, .... thanks

DUHHHHHH !!! we are all looking so far past our noses !! i took an email today, has a lot of addresses; copying one by one, is nuts. SO, just curious, went to VIEW MESSAGE SOURCE !! VOILA! ALL the names, and email addresses, are in the MESSAGE SOURcE, as TEXT, and could be easily manipulated to create a CSV file ! Still silghtly tedious, but able to get all the addresses ! hope htis helps others ! and thanks to all prior responders !
