Script: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser, xml:1605. freezing browser

A script on this page may be busy, or it may be stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser, xml:1605 If I choose, to continue it stays frozen. If I chose to stop script the browser gets a new tab at the top and I cannot close any of the tabs that I open from then on or any that I still have opened. So if I want to look at other web pages, I cannot close them. If I don't want a bunch opened that I have already viewed, I have to shut out of the browser..

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

my own about:config variable

dom.max_script_run_time has been increased to 30 from the default of 10 (as determined by resetting)

changing the value requires a restart of Firefox

The current user documentation for about:config indicates the default value is 20

do you have an extension named tab-browser or tabbrowser
