Since the new mozilla thunderbird version of 24.6.0 is released yesterday it is a problem to send messages. It seems there are server-login problems while sending e-mails. When sending e-mails through thunderbird there is an error message for the e-mail-account-password to sign it again, although it is saved in thunderbird password manager. As I have tried several times again to send an e-mail after a few trials, it could be sent. But it is only by chance.

I want to request for fixing this server-login problems. This described issue could only be noticed since yesterday when the new mozilla thunderbird version 24.6.0 ist released, but not before.

I have posted a similar question for mozilla firefox since version of firefox 25.0. And I think this is because of windows XP and its compatibility with mozilla firefox new versions and now for new mozilla thunderbird new versions.

I think it is a compatibility issue with your anti virus.

Try this

If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.

Thank you for your support. But I think it is not something about my anti virus. Since yesterday I have noticed some e-mail-sending problems with server-login-error-messages and that I have to sign my password for my e-mail-account again, although I have signed in through my masterpassword. I have not changed anything on my PC and I have not installed a new software. There are similar technical issues of firefox since firefox 25.0. And for every release until firefox 28.0 I have some slowness and technical issues for it for some days or one or two weeks. After this problem issue was fixed from mozilla support, everything works fine with firefox. And I think for now this is something similar to thunderbird, because this technical problem issue started since this new release of mozilla thunderbird 24.6.0 was released yesterday on June 11 2014. Thunderbird 24.5.0 has worked well at all.

Now at the moment it seems that sending e-mails through mozilla thunderbird works alright and well. If I will receive again error-messages for sending e-mails, I will post the technical issue.

Hello Matt,

the technical issue for error-messages when sending e-mails, and to sign again with the password for the e-mail-account in thunderbird is still remaining. Several times it needs some tries for sending an e-mail again. But after these tries it could be sent. In most of the cases there are no error-messages while sending e-mails.

have you tried safe mode with networking? Please do.
