I want to remove double contacts from address book, just delete with delete button the selected contacts does not work, have to use mouse, select contacts, right click, click on delete, click on Confirm message "äre you sure? " too much clicks to delete so many contacts. please add a "do not show this warning again" option to Confirm message. please make contacts better to edit with delete-button or backspace. or if you really want with cmd-delete or cmd- backspace.

I've just tested on my computer. Select several contacts in list so they are highlighted. I use 'Ctrl' (Windows OS) plus mouse click to select several various. Mac will be 'Cmd' instead of 'Ctrl'.

then all of the following options work:

  • click on 'Delete' button in Address book Toolbar.
  • right click on the highlighted emails and select 'Delete' option.
  • Press the 'Delete' key on keyboard.

It does ask if sure to Delete, but as I had highlighted all contacts I wanted to delete, this only occured the once. Obviously, if I then went and performed the same on another address book, the 'Are you sure' would occur again.

Located some info on shortcuts.

There is also an addon which may be of use. Duplicate contact Manager.
