Found within the article a comment about Kapersky settings and followed it, now got my wife's machine working on google. MANY THANKS

I'm glad you've got things working  !

(Personal opinion : Kaspersky is a major pain in the neck)

Hello EJohnDavies,

Probably a rhetorical question, but have you set Google to be the default search engine in 3-bar menu (or Tools) => Options => Search  ?

Your system details show that you have this add-on installed :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fvd-speed-dial/

If it's not working, may I suggest that you contact the developers  ?

(Under 'More information' => Support Email)
