I go through the week opening messages in new tabs so that I can easily get to them later and process them on the weekend. I am using TB with pop settings, downloading to my PC, on a Win 8.1 machine with plenty of memory and HD. I am using the default TB download, no extras, 31.3.0

Every once in a while when I have a s-load of email to go through TB throws the tabs away. ARGH *^%$&%* !!

It does this when I am reading the tabs, or sometimes after I close and reopen, or sometimes after I allow it to compact folders. It would take me hours to go through a weeks email and find the ones I wanted to handle later.

WTF?

Chosen solution

I suggest you use tags for your mail and stop using tabs. Tabs are as you have shown volatile. ccleaner even deletes the settings file for your security.

Tags are easy to use (pressing 5 while the mail is selected in the list tags it for "Later"), non volatile, simple to search and filter on.

Thanks or the suggestion. Good to know there is a workaround.
