Ok. Me, along with several other people have been dealing with Adobe, regarding their Flash Plugin constantly crashing. The Plugin Container works well on Firefox, but because Adobe crashes alot, It runs up the CPU usage on the Plugin container which slows the browser down. Alot of us believe that the problem lies with Adobe's software, but so far no one at Adobe is willing to fess up and state that is the fact. So I am coming here to see if anyone has any answers that might help get Adobe's head out of their 3rd point of contact. The Problem is the Plugin crashes on any browser and any combination of Windows. Everything is updated on Firefox. Adobe plugin is updated along with other key software that is currently updated. Adobe still crashes. Anyone have any valid suggestions or ideas what could be causing this? I would like to have something that I can go back to Adobe with and give them and tell them where to start. I want this mess fixed. Its annoying as hell.

rebelrenegade1,

Could you please tell me whether or not the plugin crashes when a page is open containing Adobe Flash content or does it just crash unexpectedly no matter what page you are visiting? I don't seem to have any problems with mine, however I did search and find some bugs that were with almost the same problem. If you could answer that question for me I will look into this a bit more.

Thanks,

Scott

From what I can gather it only does it when you have something 1 or 2 Flash related items loaded up. SO far that is what I am getting. Most of it seems like Adobe crashes on Flash Based games. I have heard of a few people having problems on Youtube, but for the most part I think it is related to Flash based games. I've read several hundred posts from other people that have the exact same problem as I do, that are using Either Chrome or IE and still have Adobe Flash Issues. Adobe tried to tell me it was my Graphics card. Its not my Graphics card. Adobe Crashes on my Laptop as well and its Graphics card is ten times better than this one. Not too mention their are several posts from people who have great graphics cards and they are still experiencing crashes.

rebelrenegade1,

Alright I have submitted a bug in this case as well, but since there is a problem on multiple browsers not just Mozilla Firefox I am going to have to come to the conclusion that it is a problem with the Flash Player build that Adobe has released. You mentioned it happens when playing something flash-related as well, so that may also be something that Adobe may want to look into. I am sorry for the inconvenience of the Flash Player not functioning properly, though.

Thanks,

Scott

They are looking into it, but they are moving incredibly slow. Meanwhile, They are getting unhappy customers who are trying to tweak their browsers in such a way to force Adobe to work for them so they can do what they need. I even had to lower the Plugin Containers priority setting to low so it doesn't hog the CPU so I can do what I need, If barely. Its just frustrating and I am doing what I can to come up with something I can hand Adobe and say Here! Now fix it. lol

rebelrenegade1,

You are more than welcome to hand them any of my replies. I will say that it is on there end completely. Especially since it is a cross-browser problem and not just a Mozilla Firefox problem. I would suggest letting them know that I have said it has to be on there end. There is really nothing that we can fix about there end unless you want to tweak your browser to there specifications such as you mentioned in your latest post. But, that is not something I would want to spend my time doing. I don't seem to have any problems with Flash but I don't use it all that often, just on YouTube where I have had no reports of Flash crashing on.

Thanks,

Scott
