What was the operating system on the old computer and what's the OS on the new one? What did you copy, the profile folder or the Thunderbird folder?

Before you copied the Thunderbird folder onto the W10 PC, did you delete the existing folder? There were some changes in how passwords are stored in going from TB versions that work on XP to ones on W10, so maybe that's the problem.

You can remove all password data from the profile by deleting or moving these file: key4.db (also key3.db if it exists), cert9.db (also cert8.db), logins.json, and pkcs11.txt.

Make sure you don't have a security program with a password manager - they can cause problems.
