Regular email working normally. IPhone email account is horrendously slow.
Recently got a new computer with Windows 7 Professional. McAfee is antivirus software. Previous computer was Win XP Professional with Avast antivirus. Anytime I check mail on my IPhone email account from my new PC, the program tells me Thunderbird is not responding. It will eventually download the email, but way too slow. Could it be the McAfee AV slowing it down?

yes, if McAfee is scanning emails then it is likely to effect speed.
