I am frustrated that when I turned on my laptop, before Firefox opened up, I was instructed to wait whilst it updated. My bookmarks list is now a strange mix of new and old, but a large number of crucial ones are missing. I have tried to open the file as suggested by entering "run" and then "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\" but I am unable to open the file. I have used Firefox for a long time (with many successfully installed updates) so am disappointed that, without warning life has been made so difficult. Any suggestions as to how to get my bookmarks back or perhaps a better browser that doesn't cause this problem as it looks like I'll have to start again.

hi, the following steps should get you back to the bookmarking structure you're familiar with :))

  • click on the 57 library icon library icon and go to bookmarks > bookmarking tools > add bookmarks menu to the toolbar.
  • now when you click the Bookmark Menu icon (star on tray) icon that's newly appearing on the toolbar, you'll get to the same bookmarks menu like in earlier versions...

See if you can find updates for your Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 as they are A little old : driverDate: 11-11-2016 You can Google Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and find the download page https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620 but you may have to know what generation chipset you are using. GPU-Z would tell you this : https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ Can also try : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html I see a few errors in the drivers. Old & or corrupt Drivers can cause a wide range of issues. Please keep them updated and save the file as never know when they will stop support for your Card.
