Firefox wants to install S3.amazonaws.com Is it safe to do this
A pop up appeared from Firefox saying it was urgent to install S3.amazonaws.com. I can't use Firefox unless I do as this Pop Up won't go away. I'm not very knowledgeable about IT so wondered if someone can help me using 'baby language' Thank you from an Oldie

Unfortunately you're dealing with malware - of course you'll want to get rid of it. (by the way : good for you to be on the alert !)
Would you please go to the 3-bar menu (or Tools) => Add-ons => Extensions, and look for anything unfamiliar (an extension that you didn't install yourself) - if you find one : just remove it.
Then : would you please take a look at this article :
https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-s3-amazonaws-com/
And also these search results
Would you also take a look at this article please :

If the above didn't solve the problem, or if you have anymore questions : feel free to ask !
A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.
