Probably with last update the language was changed from Dutch in to English

Install the Dutch version. Your data is separate from the program so it should be OK. Backups are always a good idea even if not doing software changes. This tells you how to backup your profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data
