Try to disable multi-process tabs in Firefox. You can disable multi-process tabs in Firefox by setting the related prefs to false on the about:config page.

browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the I Accept the Risk button. At the top of the screen is a search bar.

After start windows it seems to go faster without extra autostarts. I hope that this has no disadvantages.

Here's a few other things you can try:

• Make sure Windows is fully up to date. Install the 1803 update or, if it's available for your computer, 1809.
• Run a scan with malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.com, remove anything that it finds.
• If you are using any anti-virus, uninstall them, and just use Windows Defender and monthly scans with the above Malwarebytes.

• Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
