I ask this question before and other people have. I posted this problem about a one or two month ago. And my problem seem to have been solved. But the problem came back again.

What was happening and what is happening is that I down loaded Webadviser from McAfee to firefox and it seem to work fine but when I shut down my computer firefox uninstall webadviser.

A few months ago this happen too and what I did was to uninstall webadviser using window uninstall and go into my programs files and manually delete all remaining webadviser mcafee files, this seem to resolved this problem.

But last few days it happen again, of course, I tried completed uninstall but this time the problem remains. Webadvisor works fine until I shutdown. This is happening on both of my computers.

I think this is related to the latest Firefox or webadvisor updates. I think either one or both of them update within the last few days. I am running the current version of Firefox and version 4.0.7.213 Webadvisor which should be the latest versions.

I think what is happening is that Firefox is uninstalling webadvisor everything there is a shutdown/restart (perhaps a virus protection feature?) Is there a way to disable this only for web advisor? Of course if there is a standard solution or better solution please let me know.

I would advise not using a product like that for doing something the browser does already. That sounds more like a plugin issue then Browser if it worked fine before.

This issue happened to me today. The McAfee Web advisor icon disappeared from my browser. McAfee tech support uninstalled and reinstalled the program without success. So far, they think this is an issue with Firefox.

Is there anyone who can help resolve this issue?

peneustein, your issue is unrelated to the OP.

Many extensions used a certificate that has expired recently and that is likely the case for you.

The Forum shows your Adobe Flash Plug-in is out of date. (Version 31.x.x.xxx)
You're running an older version, which can cause problems and be a Security Risk.
If you don't use it and do not keep it updated, you can Disable or Uninstall it.

Mar 12th, 2019...
Latest Adobe Flash Version (32.0.0.171).
In the FireFox Browser, go to Add-ons > Plug-ins and click on the Shockwave Flash Options to check the Flash version.
Flash seems not to Automatically Update, so you need to keep a regular eye on these for Updates. (Flash Support will end in FireFox at some point down the road.)
You can update Flash from your Anti-Virus Program's 'Software Updater' area (Avast can do this) or on Adobe's Website:

https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html

Upon having an older version, go to step 2 on Adobe's site (the link referenced above) to download the latest version:
Note : UnCheck the boxes for the additional sponsored software that is offered on the download page if you do not want it also installed.

There was a Bug-A-Boo with a Certificate Expiration Date dealing with the Add-ons. There's a new FF Version with the main Fix, 66.0.4.

Mozilla Blog Post Update:
A Firefox release has been pushed — version 66.0.4 on Desktop and Android, and version 60.6.2 for ESR. This release repairs the certificate chain to re-enable web extensions, themes, search engines, and language packs that had been disabled (Bug 1549061).
There are remaining issues that we are actively working to resolve, but we wanted to get this fix out before Monday to lessen the impact of disabled add-ons before the start of the week. More information about the remaining issues can be found by clicking on the links to the release notes above.
