type a search and it redirects to famoussearchsystems.com
When I try to use a search on firefox or yahoo my computer is redirecting me to gossip and advertising sites and will not let me get to anything. Famoussearchsystems.com is how the redirect starts. Please help.

I don't see anything specific yet.
If you have the Babylon Toolbar, uninstall the extension and see
- Babylon Support Center ("31 October 2011 11:56 AM ")
It involves going into the Windows Control Panel to remove the program, just in case the link gets removed
If that is not the solution look for solved "Redirect Virus" in comments of postings in this support forum. I don't see anything yet for the url noted in the question.
Also uninstall Yahoo Toolbar (850287) and Ask.com Toolbar if you have them and filter on things in your about:config for things that don't belong, like || yahoo || ask.com || babylon || famoussearchsystems || . Also filter see what you get on ||homepage|| and you know what you should see.
