Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
Thanks, My Plug-ins are upto date, (TOTEM and Shockwave Flash) but it puts [RESEARCH] against I-Tunes plug-in, since I do not use I-Tunes - I have disabled this.
BUT there is a MISSING JAVA message: "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java." and exhorts me to update to latest release!
loading ubuntu 'synaptic package manager' shows that I am running icedtea-6 but the web browser plugin(s) are not installed, see screen shot
I feel that I should await further help!

Download and install Java Jdk from the netbeans website
Thanks, but I think I will 'pass'!
I have just tested a clean UBUNTU 12.10 (from DVD) that does the same as 12.04, so I feel the fix, if there is one should come from Ubuntu/Mozilla!
I will ask the question in the UBUNTU community - and use OPERA for these sites!

All the NFL (american football) team sites appear to be created using Wordpress-VIP* - these give be grief in the VIDEO section, the screenshot is after a 5 minute wait.

Works for me on Linux with the latest Flash 11.2.202.x plugin.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
I have the latest Flash Plug-in Tried 'safe mode' and at least I get a picture rather than blank screen - this video freezes after 2 seconds.
I ran a Broadband Speed test: 11Mb/s down and 1 Mb/s up which is what I expected from my broadband supplier. I tried wired and wireless connections. I have a Celeron powered laptop, while not the fastest, suits me fine.
I tried CHROME browser, that works OK as well as Opera.
