Firefox crashes on startup. I've tried creating new profiles, deleting the .mozilla folder, and even created a new user account and tried there but it still crashes. It will start in safe-mode.

It started this after I did a system update on my linux desktop (opensuse 12.3). I'm guessing it's a pluggin but I don't know how to tell firefox to stop loading the plugins in normal mode.

Had to prepare this report on chrome...

The crashes occur in libsqlite3.so.0.8.6, so could be caused by SQLite files in the profile folder

  • Firefox 33.1 Crash Report [@ @0x0 | libsqlite3.so.0.8.6@0xf0fc ]

Did you try a new profile via the Profile Manager (i.e. not a reset)?

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Yes, as I stated in my original post, I've tried new profiles and even completely deleted the .mozilla directory (which removes all profiles) so I new one is created on startup. Doesn't help.
