ANYONE????
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Thank you for your reply Cor-el, I deleted the places sqlite and it seems to of fixed it but I also found that in my bookmarks there was "bookmarks toolbar" (which I use) but also there was a bookmarks BAR with all the same folders including the missing one, I've no idea where that came from.
There is the Bookmarks Manager / folder. Then there is the Bookmarks Toolbar. The toolbar is only one folder in the Bookmarks Folder.
It sounds like you now have several Bookmark Toolbars.

Is that folder just not in the manager, or just not where it should be? Did you do a Firefox reset / refresh?
The folder was "originally" in the RRA folder and could be accessed via the RRA folder on my firefox toolbar but then it dissappeared and I found it in that "bookmarks bar" folder.
Did you ever imported a bookmarks HTML backup?
That Bookmarks Toolbar folder shows as a sub folder of the Bookmarks Menu folder. You would have to check that folder in the Bookmarks menu or "Show your Bookmarks" (button next to star) drop-down list and see if you find this folder at the bottom of the list.
It's possible I did import a html back up before after I reinstalled firefox for some reason I cannot recall right now cor-el. The problem seems to be gone now (the folder is in the usual right place in firefox) When I found the sqlite folder as you suggested earlier there was 3 of what seemed to be the same folder so I deleted the 2 older ones and have had noissues since? I also deleted the bookmark BAR folder in my library as it seemed to be just a duplicate of my bookmark toolbar.
